WhatsApp has finally brought the Mark as Read feature to iOS and Android devices! The update has been rolling out over the past few weeks,
so if you don’t have it yet, hold tight – it should be coming soon! To see if it’s available in your app store of choice, head to the Version History section of the app’s App Store or Play Store page.

Overview of the new features in WhatsApp v9.3
*Text status updates: You can share your mood, what you’re up to, or what you’re eating with friends.
The new text status updates work in a similar way to Facebook’s Stories feature. *Media status updates: Share photos and videos with your contacts and watch as they react in real-time.
*Usernames: Add your first name or a nickname to your profile so friends can find you more easily. When people start a chat with you, they’ll see your full name right there on the app.
*Status privacy controls: Decide who can see your status messages after they’ve been posted. Choose from public (anyone), private (your friends), or protected (only certain people).
*WhatsApp Payments beta: It’s our most requested feature and it’s finally here. In this version of WhatsApp, we are introducing support for making payments via UPI.
To make a payment via WhatsApp, all you need is the bank account number of whoever you’re sending money to and access to internet banking.
If someone you know doesn’t have WhatsApp yet, send them an invite through the Whatsapp web site and they’ll get a link to download the app.
Once downloaded, tap ‘payments’ under settings > whatsapp payments > create new payment profile > then fill out the necessary details like your bank name, type of account etc., select if this is debit or credit card > select whether you want to save your card for future purchases and choose whether it’s one-time transaction or recurring purchase.
How to download and install WhatsApp v9.3
To download and install, just follow these steps: 1. Open Google Play Store on your device. 2. Search for WhatsApp.
3. Touch Install to download and install the app.
4. If you’ve already got WhatsApp installed, go to the settings tab and tap App info.
5. Touch Update to update it to the latest version of WhatsApp v9.3 (or later). That’s all there is to it! And that’s how you can get the latest updates right away, no matter what phone or tablet type you have.

Tips for using the new features in WhatsApp v9.3
After you get the new update, tap on Profile (the three dots at the top right of your screen), and then tap on See All.
There you’ll be able to see an option for GIFs.
Tap on it and you’ll find a wide variety of GIFs that are available.
You can also go into your chat screen and type GIF to search for GIFs by keyword. -If you want to save one, simply long-press it and then select Save Image or Save Video.
Lastly, you can upload a video from your camera roll or take a photo to create your own GIF with GIPHY’s GIF Maker tool. -The best part is that there are no limits on how many GIFs you can save!
